Celebrating its sixth year, The Collin County Business Alliance (CCBA) hosted an anniversary luncheon reflecting on its impact on the community. The event included a special conversation with founder and CEO of Thrive Global, Huffington Post founder and international best-selling author, Arianna Huffington. CCBA Chairman and Capital One Financial Services President Sanjiv Yajnik served as moderator, and you can read an article on the event here. As a key figure in the current communications revolution, Huffington discussed new media, women in the workplace, and lessons she has learned on the road to success. In addition, Charlotte Jones Anderson was recognized as the Collin County Leadership Award honoree for service to North Texas.

Included in a business panel discussion with moderator, Tracy Merzi, publisher, Dallas Business Journal and panelists Jeff Moseley, Texas Association of Business, Brandon Formby, Texas Tribune and Trisha Windham, Davis Advocates. Topics included the CCBA’s April launch of #CollinCountyVotes in partnership with the Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Richardson Chambers of Commerce. The initiative focused on creating awareness and engagement for the mayoral and city council races in the five major cities in our county.

In closing, Sanjiv Yajnik said he looks forward to continued partnerships with CCBA to ensure our communities stay strong and vibrant. The luncheon celebrated CCBA’s efforts to help ensure Collin County remains a successful community through its mission “Envisioning tomorrow, inspiring action today.”
