Collin County Business Alliance State of the Business Event Update

A look at the latest progress and future projections of the region were the focus of the Collin County Business Alliance (CCBA) State of Business Luncheon on Friday, June 15. The event featured a panel with mayors from Plano, Frisco, McKinney and Wylie who revealed their vision of what’s ahead for the county. The discussion included how business leaders, elected officials, Collin County workers and residents may engage to create positive change. CBS 11 anchor, Jennifer Lindgren, served as the moderator to the mayoral panel.

Additionally, Mark McKinnon was the event’s keynote speaker. McKinnon was the chief media advisor to five successful presidential primary and general election campaigns, a co-founder of No Labels, an organization dedicated to bipartisanship and political problem solving, and creator and co-host of the hit documentary series “The Circus” on Showtime.

The momentum that we have created continues with future events. Since its inception, CCBA has held regular policy forums to bring together hundreds of leaders from the business community, the government and academia to discuss innovative solutions to key challenges and to address gaps in the current policy environment in Collin County and beyond.

During the past seven years, Collin County has seen some of the strongest growth in the country. This luncheon celebrated CCBA’s efforts to help ensure Collin County remains a successful community through its mission, “Envisioning tomorrow, inspiring action today.”
